Terms of Service
Effective 1 September 2026 · Commercial launch terms subject to approved country and partner addenda.
1. Provider and scope
SalonePay is a payment-technology product of SierraTec Secure (SL) Limited, a subsidiary of SierraTec Secure LLC. The contracting entity, licensed financial institution, safeguarding institution, card issuer, remittance provider or payment partner for a particular service is identified in the applicable country addendum and transaction disclosure.
2. Eligibility and enrolment
You must provide accurate information, meet the minimum legal age and identity requirements for your country, and complete the KYC, KYB or role-approval level required for the service. An account may remain receive-only or restricted until identity, country, partner and risk controls are complete.
3. Account security
Protect your phone, password, PIN, passkey, biometric access and one-time codes. Never disclose a permanent PIN to an agent, merchant, driver or staff member. Notify SalonePay promptly of device loss, unauthorized activity or suspected impersonation.
4. Payment authorization and offline capture
You authorize a transaction only after reviewing the recipient, amount, currency, fees, exchange rate, delivery method and finality. An offline POS or transit record is a locally captured instruction or cash ledger record; digital money is not final until centrally authorized and settled. Duplicate, expired, replayed or mismatched instructions may be rejected.
5. Fees, FX and limits
Applicable fees, commissions, taxes, exchange-rate margins, recipient amount and estimated delivery time are disclosed before authorization where required. Limits depend on account tier, country, corridor, funding source, partner rules and risk controls. Displayed configuration is not a regulator- or bank-approved tariff unless expressly identified as such.
6. Merchants, agents, transit and institutional users
Business users must maintain accurate products, prices, receipts, cash records, registrations, beneficial-owner information and settlement instructions. Agent cash services require verified devices, liquidity and one-time customer authorization. NFC tags identify transit operators but never replace passenger confirmation of a route, distance quote or negotiated fare.
7. Prohibited or restricted activity
The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. SalonePay may place a proportionate hold, reject an instruction, restrict outgoing activity or preserve evidence when required for fraud prevention, sanctions, AML/CFT, court process, partner rules or legal compliance.
8. Refunds, errors and complaints
The Refunds and Disputes Policy applies. Report errors promptly using the in-service support channel. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded—including mandatory consumer, remittance, card or payment-error rights—remain available.
9. Service availability and external providers
Telecommunications, electricity, banks, mobile-money operators, card networks, billers, cash points, payment switches and remittance partners may affect availability and finality. SalonePay does not represent that every listed country, corridor or rail is active; unsupported routes remain blocked by default.
10. Intellectual property
SalonePay software, brands, documentation, interface designs and original content are protected as described in the Copyright & Intellectual Property Notice. These Terms grant only the limited right to use an activated service for its intended lawful purpose.
11. Liability and mandatory law
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. Any limitation of liability, governing-law clause, complaint body, ombudsman or regulator information must be supplied in the applicable country addendum before commercial activation.
12. Changes and contact
Material changes will be communicated through the service and renewed acceptance will be obtained when required. Questions may be directed to legal@salonepay.sl. Country-specific legal, regulatory and complaint contacts are displayed when that market is activated.
